Our client is seeking experienced Fibre / Data Technicians to support a major technology infrastructure project at Olympic Dam.
This is a hands-on communications role with responsibility for the installation, termination, testing and commissioning of fibre optic, structured cabling and communications infrastructure. You will take ownership of delivering safe, quality installations while maintaining compliance with project specifications and site requirements.
The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to join a well-established project team on a significant industrial technology project with approximately 33 weeks of ongoing work.
Working an 8 days on, 6 days off roster with 12-hour shifts, this position provides stability, consistency and the opportunity to work on a large-scale communications installation project.
About the Company and Specific Project
The project involves the delivery of critical communications and technology infrastructure as part of the Stage 1 Peak Technology Works at Olympic Dam.
With mobilisation anticipated from 22nd of September, the project has a strong forward workload of approximately 33 weeks and requires a core team of skilled Fibre and Data Technicians to support the installation, termination, testing and commissioning of fibre optic, structured cabling and communications systems.
Working across an 8:6 roster with back-to-back crews, successful candidates will play a key role in delivering this major technology project while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and productivity.
Accommodation and meals will be provided through camp facilities, with project teams operating across back-to-back rosters to support ongoing delivery requirements.

About You
You are an experienced communications technician who takes pride in being hands-on with your work while maintaining a strong focus on performance, safety and teamwork. You thrive in project environments and are committed to delivering high-quality installations while ensuring compliance with client and site requirements.
You Will Bring
• Background within communications, technology infrastructure, mining, construction or industrial projects
• Strong experience installing and terminating fibre optic and structured cabling systems
• Hands-on operational experience within similar project environments
• ACMA Open Registration and relevant endorsements
• White Card
• EWP (Yellow Card)
• Ability to meet site medical and drug & alcohol requirements
• Commitment to maintaining a clean-shaven site compliance standard
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical or provide a copy (within 12 months)
Highly Desirable
• Structured Cabling Endorsement
• Optical Fibre Endorsement
• Coaxial Endorsement
• Wi-Fi installation experience
• MATV installation experience
• Communications equipment installation experience
