We are looking for a motivated team player to support drilling operations, geological programs, and field activities in a dynamic remote environment.
 
Our client is seeking a motivated and reliable Core Technician / Field Assistant to join their exploration team. Working on a 2 weeks on, 1 week off roster, you will play a key role in supporting drilling and geological activities while assisting with general camp and field operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain or further develop experience within the exploration industry.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Collecting and transporting drill core from the drill rig
  • Core measuring, mark-up and orientation line marking
  • Conducting magnetic susceptibility (Magsus) measurements
  • Core photography and core cutting
  • Geotechnical logging (RQD) as required
  • Assisting with pXRF and ASD sample measurements
  • Undertaking termitaria and soil sampling programs
  • RS125 surveying activities
  • General field, camp and operational support
  • Truck runs and logistics assistance
About You

To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
  • Previous exploration, mining or field-based experience
  • A strong work ethic and ability to work independently in remote environments
  • High regard for safety and teamwork
  • MR Licence at a minimum and white card
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
