Our client, Integrated Disability Action (IDA), is seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Officer to lead a respected peak disability organisation dedicated to empowering people with disability and strengthening inclusive communities across the Northern Territory.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Management Committee, the Executive Officer will provide leadership across operations, programs, people, partnerships and organisational development.
 
You will play a pivotal role in driving strategic priorities, leading a high-performing team, strengthening stakeholder relationships and ensuring the organisation continues to deliver impactful advocacy and support services for people with disability throughout the Territory.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the organisation
  • Drive strategic initiatives and continuous improvement
  • Oversee programs, projects and service delivery outcomes
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government, community and sector stakeholders
  • Support disability advocacy and policy initiatives
  • Lead, mentor and develop staff and volunteers
  • Identify funding opportunities and contribute to grant applications
  • Monitor budgets, reporting requirements and compliance obligations
  • Support governance, risk management and organisational sustainability
  • Prepare reports and updates for the Management Committee
About You
You are a values-driven leader who thrives on creating positive social impact and building collaborative relationships.
You'll bring:
  • Leadership experience within community services, disability, not-for-profit or similar sectors
  • Experience managing programs, projects and service delivery
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • High-level written communication and reporting capability
  • Experience leading, coaching and developing teams
  • Knowledge of governance, compliance and funding environments
  • A genuine commitment to the rights, inclusion and participation of people with disability
  • Strong organisational, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Essential Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
  • NT Ochre Card (or ability to obtain)
  • National Criminal History Check
  • Current driver's licence
  • Ability to undertake occasional regional and remote travel
